Summer

Where the heck did that summer go?  It seems like we waited so, so long for it to begin.  And then, BAM, it was here and gone already.  The autumn has arrived at our doorstep.

It seems we say it every year, but this year was such a strange summer.  So many days of rain, and not a lot of heat for us until the last couple weeks.  We certainly had a wonderful and fulfilling time though through it all, so, no complaints!

I remember as a child thinking I had figured it all out.  I realized that the more fun I had in life, the faster time flew by.  I determined my big plan was to spend my time being bored and doing nothing of interest, and this way time would slow down for me.

Well, oddly enough, I learned soon enough that this certainly was not me!  I am pretty much involved in something of interest almost all of the time.  I do like to relax also, and certainly work to fit that in.  But for the most part I am doing something, meeting someone, or going somewhere all the time.

This is a true blessing.  Some people do not have the opportunity in their lives or careers to stay engaged as much as they might want.  I try so hard not to take it for granted.  Every day I see or hear about interesting people that I want to meet, things I want to achieve, and places I want to go.

As autumn rolls in, natures annual growth process comes to its close.  It is a great time to think about all that has been achieved, and reflect on those things yet to come.  I love to work with people this time of year on this type of reflection.  I do it for myself as well.

Before we know it, the new year will be on top of us.  With some work and thought now we can be ready to turn that page in a strong and effective way.

…But not just quite yet…….Maybe we can sneak in one last sunset on the beach first before we do?!
